Recipe: Aunt Tuula’s Easy Cold Shrimp Dip

Easy Shrimp Dip For Birthday, Holiday & Superbowl Parties

You’re probably wondering to yourself, “What is this website?”. If you’re curious, look around.

If you are just here for my Aunt Tuula’s Easy Cold Shrimp Dip, then you’re in the right place.

My first time eating it was in the early 80s. She would make this dip on family movie nights and all of us kids would sit around the bowl with a bag of Ruffles potato chips.

Several years ago I posted a pin of her recipe on my personal Pinterest page. Nothing special, just jotted down the ingredients and saved it for personal reference. Now that I have an actual website to post it on for safe keeping.

Every time I have made it for company someone asks for the recipe. This is always a big hit at our Superbowl and Christmas parties.

Here’s the full super easy recipe for Shrimp Dip:

1/4 cup milk
1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened
1 teaspoon lemon juice
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
2 tablespoons Cocktail Sauce (I use the spicy version)
1/2 teaspoon garlic salt
1 can (4.5 ounces) tiny shrimp, rinsed and drained

Directions: Blend milk into cream cheese until smooth. Add lemon juice, Worcestershire, cocktail sauce, and garlic salt. Carefully stir shrimp through cheese mixture until evenly mixed.

Cover, refrigerate 4 hours. Serve cold with plain potato chips, pretzel sticks or veggies.

To fancy it up. Place the dip into nice serving dish or small individual cups. Top with a few pieces of cooked shrimp.
